Supply chain, logistics and operational performance

Agility, resilience and the management of physical and financial flows: how Moroccan supply chains absorb crises and perform better through data and operational excellence.

This axis deals with supply-chain performance, from purchasing to distribution. It looks at physical flows as much as at the financial flows that come with them, and at the capabilities that let companies withstand disruption: agility, responsiveness, resilience and the use of data.

Research questions

  • How do agility and responsiveness translate into performance for Moroccan manufacturers?
  • How can supply-chain resilience be measured, and which mechanisms strengthen it in a crisis?
  • What is the cash flow bullwhip effect and how can it be controlled?
  • What do big data, digital learning and artificial intelligence contribute to reducing risk and to economic and environmental optimisation?
  • How are operational excellence and global value chains transforming the automotive and agribusiness industries?
